Mezonic

International artist, songwriter, producer, and performer Mezonic is a beacon of light in the music industry. His primary genres as a performing artist are conscious hip-hop and Afrobeat. Born in Liberia, West Africa, Mezonic was influenced by many different musical styles while growing up. He relocated to the U.S. with his parents at the age of 17 and completed high school at Independence High School in Charlotte, NC.

He then attended DeVry University in Decatur, GA, where he earned his B.S. in Electronics Engineering in 2003. Atlanta was also the place where Mezonic realized his passion for music. While living there, he connected with friends who were deeply involved in music production and recording, inspiring him to learn how to produce.

His production styles vary, spanning genres such as hip-hop, party rap, reggae, Afrobeat, and world music. After moving back to Charlotte in 2005, he founded his company, Mezonic Records (now M.R.P.E., LLC). Mezonic has released more than eight studio albums and several mixtapes since beginning his musical journey in 2006. To view his latest projects, visit www.mezonicrecords.com.
